About brintOS

brintOS runs full Linux machines inside the browser. Every machine is just a versioned root filesystem you can build, share, and launch — like a repository, but it boots.

Meet Bashby, our brintOS bushbaby — big ears, a shell of terminal windows, and a USB-C tail, right at home in the browser tab.

Who runs brintOS

brintos.io is owned and operated by JD Brinton Consulting, Inc. JD Brinton Consulting is a San Francisco Bay Area engineering firm that builds and ships embedded systems, low-level Linux tooling, and developer infrastructure for hardware-adjacent teams.

Why we built this

Real work happens inside specific machines: a board-support package, a vendor toolchain, a one-off compiler, a calibrated firmware-flashing rig. Asking a teammate or a customer to install the same chain is friction. Instead, you build the machine once on brintOS, point them at a URL, and they boot the exact same root filesystem in their own tab.
